Colourful chic

The perfect way to step into Spring is here. The brightest and boldest colours are exploding with rainbow vibrancy on every high street.

Did I ever imagine myself in pink ?
No way, it’s so far away from my usual safe black, grey and tan classic style.

This image on my Instagram page was such a hit I needed to add 3 reels. It’s a strong look I added a neutral bag and shoes to avoid an overloaded of colours.

Orange zest

Brighter hotter colours like orange are easy to style. The boldest of colours, it looks fresh, new and exciting. I’m wearing blue and green but with a plain white shirt, it also looks chic and classy.

Mix it up if your not sure about a colour block. The colour combinations are endless. Or why not add a splash of colour by introducing fabulous accessories or statement jewellery.

Bold blue

Texture helps to separate the final look. The above image shows thick mustard knit with loose baggy sleeves. I have teamed with vibrant blue pants in polyester and lycra. Vintage navy earrings and a navy tote complete the look.

I own so many shoes, but I wanted a blue pair so I purchased for a bargain £12 these from Primark.

Go green

Let the daffodils and other Spring flowers inspire you to perk up the wardrobe. This Zara green knit adds vibrancy and newness to black leggings. The casual looks below are perfect for the transition between Winter and Spring.

An all overlook packs a punch. If you really want to stand out this bold color combination works well. Note the white sneakers but equally, heels would work as well.

New shoes hallo Vivaia.

New on my Instagram stories are the perfect shoes for Spring. The shoes are made from plastic bottles, preventing more plastic from breaking up and harming marine life. The soles are made from Argyi herbs. Vivaia are eco friendly and go in the washing machine.

The Kama sneaker suggests a softer more casual look. The powder pink Gap shirt breaks the dominant raspberry.

Add a splash

Accessories.

Using bags or scarves can be a more cost-effective way to add pops of colour. Add a vibrant print to a neutral bag. Note the change of nail varnish as well. I love adding a final touch.

Luscious lime.

Lime green shirt from Zara teamed with dark green joggers from Marks & Spencer.

Mix strong colours that compliment each other. Jewellery from the V&A museum, matched with a vibrant nail colour nail.

Although colours are trending and very much in vogue, it’s important to add your own individual touches. Nobody wants to be noticed for the wrong reasons.
I always add vintage jewellery, belts, bags and even sunglasses.

Intense colour makes you memorable. The fashion bibles suggest the association of colours outwardly project the following.

Red. Dramatic, self-assured and courageous.

Green. Peaceful, bright and optimistic.

Blue. Soothing, inspiring and friendly.

Orange. Social, fun-loving and enthusiastic.

Yellow. Creative, cheerful and optimistic.

Why not try a touch of colour this Spring even a new lipstick…..or lingerie be inspired.

Vintage inspirational style.
