The heat is on.

Looking fabulous in unbearable heat is never easy. Simple easy chic from all-in-one jumpsuits to my favourite vintage dresses have made dressing less stressful. Lashings of jewellery, funky sunglasses it’s been surprisingly easy.

For the perfect Summer look no further than an all-in-one jumpsuit. It feels perfect, uncomplicated and flattering. Teamed with sandals & baskets for holiday or flats and a blazer for the evening.

Vintage dresses

The summer dress is my go-to essential. Cool, stylish and elegant. The vintage dress from Boden adds just the right balance of colour and sits just above the knee.

Baskets & pom-poms.

When I carry a basket I know Summer has arrived. Colourful, practical and fun. A vintage wrap dress in a chic print and Rayban sunglasses complete the look. BUT once again the pompom shoes stole the look.

Pom-pom style feet.

Fun, playful, colourful and a simple way to add colour why not indulge your feet in a pair of pom-pom shoes. Zara has produced yet again embellished, fluffy and eye-catching styles

Culottes

I love wearing culottes, especially wide cuts. The hint of ankle allows for great sandals and a flattering leg length.

Blue stripe.

Vintage stripes in various shades of blue teamed with a 1950s box jacket. With a nod to nautical the outfit screams Summer, a perfect example of classic quality items that do not date.

When you think of Summer colour, it’s vibrant, tropical, shimmering and sparkly. Ths sunlight enhances our smile, our tans allow jewellery to take centre stage. Colour also extends to hats, sunglasses and shoes.

New Season.

Summer prints.

New Season teamed with vintage sunglasses and earrings. The sunshine adds a glow to the skin, and complementary colours like orange, gold and red add an almost health-like fashion halo.

White denim

When Summer is at its hottest, switch to a no-colour white or neutral frosty palate. Perk up a look with colourful bags and fruit-coloured espadrilles.

Waistcoat chic.

Waistcoats are trending this Summer, perfect with shorts or staples like white denim. The look is dressed down by studded Birkenstocks and the Miu-Miu bag. Heading out for lunch this outfit will work day or night.

Stay chic.

Less is more. Simple style with vintage shoes and my 20 year old birkin. Chunky jewels and Prada eyewear.

Basket chic.

One of the best parts about summer dress-up is not feeling forced to blow the budget on expensive accessories. A basket bag oozes chic, it’s off-duty appeal has made it Summer 2022s most coveted.

In Summer when we are stripped down for action, our makeup, fragrance and grooming become integral accessories. If you wear open toes take the time for a pedicure. The whole outfit goes out the window if you neglected the basics.

Regular’s to my Instagram page will recognise my TINA basket. If your looking for personalisation visit the Etsy website. This basket is from a company called Georgi Amanda I found through EBAY.

Pick a sturdy straw bag that is neither too dressy nor sporty. The fashion houses have produced stylish options easy effortless chic appeal. The straw and raffia options are not just for holidays but stylish enough for the office and weekend adventures.

Summer basics.

Summer can mean sweaty, overheating and stuffy. It’s also the time of year we show more of our body, flesh we keep under wraps 48 weeks of the year. Cool and breezy is how well-chosen clothes should look. Never wear tight-fitting garments even if you leave the house looking fabulous it won't last.
