Spring Chic

What better way to kick off New Season than a visit to Selfridges & taking runway inspiration from the High Street? Early trends, fabulous buys and high-end bags …did someone say sequins ???

It goes without saying the shops are looking invitingly Spring tempting. Pops of pastel joy, semi-nude fabrics & metallic delights. The choice can be overwhelming & expensive mistakes can be made.

A splash of vintage with new arrivals.

For me always it’s about the magic of New Season accessories, I’m always more interested in shoes, sunglasses & bags than clothing.

Colours for Spring

There is nothing more mood lifting than opening a wardrobe full of colours. Embracing yellows, green and vibrant pink. Colour adds joy & warmth here are my top buys.

This image was used in the Harpers Bazaar Greece edition for the best use of colour on women over 50.

Buying a New Season bag is a good investment if you buy well. Never buy into trends, it’s a quick fix that dates quicker …pick a colour that will work with your already over-packed wardrobe.

February weather can be variable so the joy to able to wear just a sweater (HM) & open-toe shoes is bliss. Colourful knits provide warmth easily dressed down with jeans or joggers.

I purchased these trousers from M&S because I knew they would work with so much in my wardrobe. The Skechers (Amazon) in purple will double up with the lilac sweater above.

Spring Sequins

Sparkle into S/S 2023, time to turn up the glamour. Get back out those Christmas dresses & skirts.

This Zara dress looks just amazing on a January morning. Boy does if feel good to dress like this when it’s 2 degrees. Teamed with a £14 cardigan from Primark.

The same dress with a new season knit from HM. Adding a pop of colour to minimalist neutral colours gives a freshness to your daily look. The sunglasses are vintage Givenchy.

Metallic & leopard shoes.

Am I the only fashionista who buys shoes out of season ???. I hope not, I have always done this because I own 100s ( no surprise there) of pairs. Below is a perfect example of why

Silver, blue or green these bargain sandals can be reused repeatedly through Spring and into Summer. Cropped blue denim, white Jackie jeans so many options.

Leopard chic

These red shoes from Vivaia shoes are perfect with all my animal prints. Essential flats that work with my lifestyle provide comfort & style.

Team bold Spring colours with clashing prints to create a colourful palette. This boucle coat from Tamsy will look just fabulous with those sandals above.

Blue or silver watch this space.

Happy February Tina

Forget the Winter blues head over to Tamsy clothing for Spring inspiration.
