About time

So much has happened to me …and you in the last three years. It has been a personal, rewarding and at times difficult journey. Over 70 blogs later I’m still here; hopefully, this blog will answer the many messages I have received.

I am London-based born in 1966 with a background in fashion, styling, and retail merchandising with a passionate addiction to elegant shoes & bags.

I have along the way featured in magazines, and online articles all around the globe. my most popular audience is in Spain ..thank you. Below is a sample of articles.

It’s always a fabulous surprise to be selected for an article … unfortunately I normally find out after the publication. Photographs are lifted all the time from my Facebook or Insta page …online articles also take videos ..again not all ask.

Working with brands and paid partnerships are regular features on my Instagram pages and various catalogues. I made the choice to only select fashion clothing and accessories. Cosmetics, jewellery, lingerie and swimwear are not for me.

Influencer and P.R. work change throughout the year. Campaigns come and go, some I sign for 6 months others can be for images that will be shown outside the UK or catalogued only.

My Influences

I love fashion and I also love to be inspired, try something different, style something new etc. My top 4 on social media ladies are women who push the boundaries and add an edge without going down the obvious route

The name of the Website Chic50style incorporates my love of 1950s chic. I adore vintage clothes, bags and especially sunglasses. An everlasting love affair that began as a teenager hunting around London’s Camden Market picking up shoes that would turn heads at school all week.

A passionate Hitchcock fan I would consume every film I dyed my hair to be Marnie, and twisted my chignon into a Grace. Charade ticked every inch of my beating heart and Doris Day in Pillow Talk …Betty Bacall in anything.

35 years later style gets me out of bed. It dictates where I buy my coffee, what I read, where I shop, what museums I visit etc.
